The seventh regular volume of English-language yearbook dedicated to competition protection and sector-specific regulation contains six articles; two of them concentrate on ecomic aspects of regulation and others concern legal aspects of antitrust not only in Poland but also in other Central European countries. This is the first internationalized volume of YARS, going beyond Polish perspective.
Two legal articles concern private enforcement of competition law (Jasminka Pecotič Kaufman presents Croatian experiences in this area, Anna Piszcz presents Polish issues in this topic). Ondrej Blazo analyzes an issue of limitation periods in antitrust law on the basis of Slovak experiences and Silvia Šramelová, Andrea Šupáková presents problems of judicial control of antitrust decisions in Slovakia. Economic articles concentrate on selected aspects of sector specific regulation in telecommunications (Magdalena Olender-Skorek) and on postal market (Dilyara Bakhtieva, Kamil Kiljański).
The volume also contains legislation and case law reviews, among them a presentation of the Polish cases resolved by EU courts and European Commission in 2010-2011, as well as a presentation of new Polish exempting regulations and selected Polish judgments in antitrust cases in 2011. You can also find in this volume a presentation of legal amendments in energy, telecommunications, rail transport, air transport and post. The volume also contains comments on: two ECJ’s judgments responding to preliminary rulings of Polish courts (C-375/09 oraz C-410/09) and a judgment of the Court of Appeals in Warsaw.
Three books related to sector specific regulation are reviewed in the volume; CARS annual report for 2011 is also presented.
